Why This Archive Exists

A Complete Picture of a Scottish Family

These pages document the Leith and later Leith-Hay family of Leith Hall. The project was created as a historical record: a search into a family past that is sometimes overlooked, yet rich in character, consequence and human detail.

The aim is not only to record celebrated figures. It is to preserve a fuller story—women and men, daily life and public service, migrations and marriages, achievements, feuds, adventures and tragedies—across Scotland, Australia and beyond.
